Mina is seventeen. A virgin. And pregnant.
Mina is top of her class, girlfriend to the most ambitious guy in school, able to reason and study her way through anything. But when she suddenly finds herself pregnant--despite having never had sex--her orderly world collapses. Almost nobody believes Mina's claims of virginity. Her father assumes that her boyfriend is responsible; her boyfriend believes she must have cheated on him. As news of Mina's story spreads, there are those who brand her a liar. There are those who brand her a heretic. And there are those who believe that miracles are possible--and that Mina's unborn child could be the greatest miracle of all.

We are following Mina, a seventeen years old girl. One day, while she was working, a strange old lady came just before the closing hour and talk to her about a child, her child. Mina doesn't believe what that crazy old lady said, but soon, she started to be sick in the morning, her breast hurted and she wasn't having her period anymore.
Scared, she talks about it to her two bests friends and both of them think she's pregnant. But how could this be? She's a virgin! After doing several pregnancy tests, she has to accept it, she is pregnant.

How will the others react? For some people, like her friend Izzy, it's hard to accept. Mina is nothing else but big fat liar. For others, like her friend Hannah, it's more easy.
Then, she has to tell her parents and the fact that everyone at school learns that she's pregnant. That's when her problems start. People at school start bullying her, saying mean things about her and then they created a website that became viral and for that reason her story even made the news. For this part, I thought it was a little bit too much. What kind of journalist in his right mind would make a big story about a teen saying she's a virgin even if she's pregnant. For all I know, there are more chances it's a lie and all their sources are some teenagers hungry for fifteen minutes of fame.

Despite that, I really loved the story. Even if at first I was scared that the author would talk a lot about religion. I was happy to see that when she was talking about it, she was always putting doubt in the mind of the reader about either it's true or false. A pastor even said he's not sure hell exists.

Finally, I devoured those 464 pages in two days and I'm hungry for more. Happily, there's a second book, telling the story of the child she's bearing and I can't wait to start it.
